Adjusting the Ringer Volume
Press the up or down volume button while the handset, speakerphone, or headset is in use. To save this volume setting for future calls, press the Save soft key.
Changing the Ringer Sound
Press the settings button.From the Settings menu, use the Navigation button to scroll through the list of your lines. When you find the line you want to configure, press the Select soft key. If you have multiple lines, use the Navigation button to scroll through the list of your lines. When you find the line you want to configure, press the Select soft key. Use the Navigation button to scroll through the list of ring types and press the Play softkey to hear the selected ring type. When you find the ring tone you want, press the Select softkey to check the corresponding checkbox. Press the OK soft key to accept and save your ringer selection. Press the Exit soft key to exit the Settings menu.
Changing the LCD Contrast
Press the settings button. From the Settings menu, use the Navigation button to select Contrast.Press the Up or Down soft keys to set the desired intensity of the display.Press the OK soft key to accept your changes.To save contrast setting, pres the Save soft key and exit the Setting menu.
Placing a call using a telephone number
Lift the Handset. Press Speaker or press the NewCall soft key and dial the number.If using a headset, press Headset and dial the number.
Answering a call
Lift the Handset. Press Speaker or press the Answer soft key. Press Headset, and press the line button of the incoming call.
Ending a call
If using the handset, hang up the handset. If using the speakerphone, press Speaker or the EndCall soft key. If using the headset, press the EndCall soft key.
Sending calls straight to voicemail
To send call to voicemail (Either in an idle state or while on a call): Press the CFwdAll softkey button. Press the * key. Enter the 4 digit phone extension. The screen will display that the phone has been forwarded to the number entered.
Muting a call
Allows you to mute the handset, headset, or speakerphone, preventing the party you are speaking to from hearing what you or someone else in the room is saying. To activate mute during a call, press Mute. To release mute, press Mute again.
Placing a call on hold
To place a call on hold, press the Hold soft key. To return to the call, press the Resume soft key.
(Note: if multiple calls are on hold use the scroll key to select the desired call before pressing Resume).
Transferring a call
While on a call, press the Transfer soft key, the call is automatically put on hold.Dial the number to which you want to transfer the call. If on campus, dial the 4-digit extension. When it rings on the other end, press Transfer again, or when the party answers, announce the call and press Transfer. Hang up if the party accepts the call. If the party refuses the call, press the Resume soft key to return to the original call.
Redialing the last number dialed
Lift the handset an press the Redial soft key.Press the Redial soft key to activate the speakerphone or headset.
Forwarding all calls
Allows you to forward all incoming calls to another extension Press the CFwdAll soft key, you should hear two beeps. Enter the number to which you want to forward all of your calls. To cancel forwarding of all calls, press the CfwdAll soft key
Placing a conference call
Allows you to talk with multiple calling parties. During a call, press the More soft key and then the Confrn soft key, a new line is activated and and places the other party on hold. Place a call to another number or extension.When the call connects, press Confrn again to add this party to the conference Call. Repeat these steps to add parties to the conference call. Once the conference call initiator disconnects, no additional parties can be added.You can drop the last party added by pressing the RMLstC soft key.
Placing a long distance call
Enter 9. Next, enter a 1, the area code and number. You will then be prompted with a series of 2 tones. Enter your 5 digit Long Distance Code. Press the # key.
Note: The Long Distance Code is the last 5-digits of your existing code.
Directory Feature Explanation
Viewing or Dialing Missed, Received or Placed Calls
Press the Directories button. Use the Navigation button to select Missed, Received or Placed calls from the Directories menu, then press the Select soft key. Press the Select soft key to select Missed Calls, Received Calls or Placed Calls from the Directory menu. The call history for the selection is displayed. Use the Navigation button to choose the desired call.Press the Dial soft key to initiate the call. Press the Exit soft key twice to exit the Directory menu.
Making Calls from a Corporate Directory
Press the Directories button. Use the scroll key to select Corporate Directory.Press the Select soft key to display the directory search options. Use the scroll key to select the search option: First Name, Last Name, Number. Use the numbers corresponding to the letters on the dialing pad to enter a name or number to find in the directory. Press the Dial soft key to dial a number for the corporate directory.
